About the position

The Senior Director of Total Rewards at RingCentral is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive total rewards strategy aimed at attracting, motivating, and retaining top talent. This role encompasses oversight of compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee recognition programs, requiring strategic thinking and strong analytical skills to align with organizational goals and market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive total rewards strategy aligned with the organization's business goals and objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure the total rewards strategy supports organizational goals and enhances employee engagement and retention.
  • Design and oversee competitive compensation structures, including base salaries, variable pay, and incentive programs.
  • Conduct market benchmarking and salary surveys to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
  • Manage the administration of compensation programs, including job evaluations, salary adjustments, and compensation planning.
  • Oversee the design and management of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Evaluate and implement benefits programs to ensure they are competitive, cost-effective, and compliant with regulations.
  • Manage relationships with benefits vendors and service providers.
  • Develop and manage performance management and employee recognition programs to drive high performance and engagement.
  • Implement and monitor employee recognition initiatives to reinforce organizational values and reward exceptional performance.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Prepare and present reports on compensation and benefits metrics to senior leadership and the board of directors.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and industry trends to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.
  • Lead and mentor a team of total rewards professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.
  • Communicate total rewards policies and programs effectively across the organization.
  • Collaborate with other HR functions, including talent acquisition and employee relations, to ensure alignment and integration of total rewards programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in total rewards or compensation and benefits roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing compensation and benefits programs in a complex, multi-national organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep knowledge of compensation and benefits regulations, market trends, and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CCP, CBP) is preferred.
