About the position

The Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for inside sales lead generation, focusing on sourcing sales leads that support and enhance ABS businesses. This role involves collaborating with various business development team members to achieve broader goals, providing input to marketing and operations, and improving customer interaction and financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Contact prospective customers to introduce products and services, explain product features, and schedule client meetings for Account Managers (AM).
  • Select appropriate AM to recommend products and services to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
  • Convince others to buy products and services or to otherwise change their minds or actions.
  • Communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
  • Observe, receive, research, and obtain information from all relevant sources.
  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Collaborate internally across all departments as needed to provide potential clients answers to their technical or commercial questions.
  • Use initiative to learn about new ABS products and services, and creatively develop region-specific marketing approaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree in Business Administration or Engineering or recognized equivalent.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience with inside sales preferred.
  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge of specified products and services to be sold.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • An entrepreneurial mentality that enables the incumbent to recognize and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Able to work in a result-driven organization.
  • Ability to commit to ethical business practices, in full accordance with ABS Operating Principles and Mission as well as corporate policies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to speak well in group and/or client facing environments.
  • Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System.
