About the position

The Contract Specialist Paralegal at Kasasa will play a crucial role in the Legal and Finance & Accounting department, focusing on the creation, review, negotiation, and processing of customer and vendor contracts. This position requires a strong understanding of contract language and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. In this role, the paralegal will be responsible for managing internal and external relationships, creating and managing contract templates, processing sales and cancellations, conducting audits, and assisting the Legal Department with various projects. The position demands critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision. The paralegal will also be expected to provide leadership in strengthening internal communications and fostering a positive work environment. Kasasa promotes a hybrid work model, requiring employees to work in the office for at least three full days each week while allowing for remote work on the remaining days. This balance is designed to enhance teamwork and collaboration while providing employees with the flexibility to excel in their roles. Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, revise and interpret contracts
  • Accurate contract processing as well as data entry, data audit and critical reporting
  • Research, interpret and explain contract terms, as well as renewal and cancellation related questions for internal stakeholders
  • Develop and implement solutions for complex inter-departmental matters
  • Address requests from other departments as assigned
  • Manage and collaborate on multiple projects and deadlines
  • Monitor pricing and approval thresholds and seek executive approval as necessary
  • Manage, maintain and audit contract database within internal systems
  • Assist with contractual data verification, process establishment and tracking
  • Assist with various matters/projects handled by the Legal Department
  • Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization
  • Create and promote a positive and supportive work environment
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Paralegal certificate preferred
  • Experience in legal writing and/or contract administration preferred
  • Contract Life Cycle Management Software, Conga, Salesforce and/or eSignature platform experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate excellence and understand the implications of decisions and actions on segments of the organization outside one's immediate area
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment
  • Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with process development, improvement and documentation
  • Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S.
