About the position

As a Contract Specialist at Modine Manufacturing Company, you will be responsible for the review and execution of all contracts for the Modine Data Centers - North America team. This role is critical as the company continues to enter new markets and advance its products in the fast-growing data center business. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating, negotiating, finalizing, and monitoring contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Create, review, and support negotiations and execute a wide variety of contracts covering a range of transactions.
  • Conduct internal contract reviews, making recommendations and following through on the contracts through completion of the project.
  • Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders in connection with contract generation.
  • Ensure the organization's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained.
  • Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.
  • Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters.
  • Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension, or renewal according to what is best for the company.
  • Collaborate with a legal team consisting of lawyers, paralegals, and office staff.
  • Review contract terms and conditions to verify compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Clearly explain contract terminology to clients and other interested parties in simple, everyday language.
  • Provide support and advice on potential new business opportunities.
  • Ensure contract compliance in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, economics, or finance preferred.
  • 3 plus years of experience in contract review and follow through or other relevant role.
  • Understanding and experience of the key concepts and legal provisions of contracts.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and creatively address a wide range of matters.
  • Confidence to successfully review, make recommendations, support negotiations and execute contracts.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in government contracts a plus.
