About the position

As a Senior Audio Algorithms Software Engineer at Nintendo Technology Development, you will play a crucial role in the research, design, and development of audio algorithms that enhance the interactive entertainment experience. This position requires a deep understanding of audio signal processing and the ability to implement robust embedded software using modern C++ constructs. You will be tasked with optimizing audio algorithm implementations, leveraging vectorized instruction sets to ensure high performance and efficiency. Your work will contribute to the development of future hardware and software technologies that are integral to Nintendo's innovative gaming systems. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of engineers and researchers to push the boundaries of audio technology. You will be expected to apply your extensive experience in audio signal processing to create algorithms that can be integrated into various gaming platforms. The position demands a strong foundation in digital signal processing (DSP) fundamentals, as well as specialized knowledge in areas such as audio effects, spatial audio, microphone processing, speech processing, natural language processing, and psychoacoustic models. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of audio experiences for users worldwide. This is an onsite position located in Redmond, Washington, and is not open to remote work at this time. Responsibilities

  • Research, design and develop audio algorithms.
  • Implement robust embedded software using modern C++ constructs.
  • Optimize audio algorithm implementations using vectorized instruction sets.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience developing audio signal processing algorithms.
  • Strong knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) fundamentals.
  • In-depth knowledge in at least one of the following areas: audio effects, spatial audio, microphone processing, speech processing, natural language processing, psychoacoustic models.
  • Experience developing software in C++.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, with emphasis in DSP.
  • MS degree.
  • Proficient in Matlab or Python.
  • Machine learning experience.
