About the position

The Contract Strategy Program and Project Management Senior Manager at Verizon is responsible for leading the contract strategy for the Strategy and Ops Team within the VCG Channel Ops Support Team. This role involves guiding internal clients through the acquisition process, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with contract terms while driving cost savings and revenue generation. The position requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve optimal outcomes for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the contract strategy for the Strategy and Ops Team under VCG Channel Ops Support Team.
  • Guiding internal business partners through the supplier selection process.
  • Performing market analysis to identify potential suppliers.
  • Documenting requirements, building RFPs, and conducting negotiations.
  • Handling the sourcing process in alignment with company policies.
  • Validating supplier compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Identifying cost-saving and avoidance opportunities across all Customer Service PSO partner contracts.
  • Managing timelines and deliverables for contracts and proposals across all VCG partners.
  • Ensuring contract and proposal processes adhere to internal and external guidelines.
  • Collaborating across the organization for input, feedback, and approval on agreements.
  • Facilitating and negotiating between internal and external partners.
  • Auditing contracts for standardization and opportunities.
  • Developing outcome-based pricing and obtaining approvals on agreements.
  • Innovating new contract strategies and negotiations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Contract Strategy and management.
  • Experience in Contract Negotiation.
  • Strong negotiation and cost management skills.
  • Experience working with Customer Service outsource business partner contracts.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Customer Service within the PSO organization.
  • Familiarity with customer service metrics such as First Call Resolution and Average Handle Time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Business degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration.
  • Experience in program management, RFP, and vendor selection.
  • Experience in Finance and Sourcing.
  • Supply chain certification (CPSM or CPM).
  • Project management certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
