About the position

The Contract Technical Recruiter at Stoneridge is a pivotal role within the Human Resources department, responsible for managing the full life-cycle recruitment process for salaried positions. This position requires a proactive approach to sourcing and attracting top talent, particularly for technically complex engineering roles within the automotive industry. The recruiter will utilize creative sourcing strategies to identify and engage potential candidates, ensuring a robust talent pipeline that meets the company's staffing needs. In this role, the recruiter will screen resumes and applications, conduct interviews, and assess candidates based on their qualifications, skills, and experience. The recruiter will also prepare offer letters and support the Senior Corporate Recruiter during onsite interviews. A key aspect of the position involves collaborating with the Sr. Manager of Global Talent Acquisition and other leaders to evaluate staffing gaps and develop action plans to address hiring needs. The recruiter will be accountable for filling positions in a timely manner while maintaining a keen awareness of the external candidate market. Additionally, the Contract Technical Recruiter will provide support to the broader HR team as needed, ensuring that all recruitment activities adhere to organizational standards and maintain quality service. This role is essential in fostering connections with various candidate sources and implementing innovative strategies to enhance the recruitment process, ultimately contributing to the company's mission of delivering high-quality products and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate salaried recruitment activities for full life-cycle recruiting.
  • Recruit and screen qualified candidates using creative sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract candidates.
  • Screen resumes/applications and interview candidates.
  • Assess and screen applicants based on their knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Prepare offer letters for selected candidates.
  • Support Sr. Corporate Recruiter in onsite interviews for salaried positions.
  • Make recommendations and implement sourcing, recruiting, and advertising strategies.
  • Develop connections with various candidate sources.
  • Fill positions in a timely manner and maintain awareness of the external candidate market.
  • Review and collaborate with Sr. Manager, Global Talent Acquisition on staffing needs.
  • Provide additional support to all members of the HR team as needed.
  • Maintain quality service by adhering to organizational standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in high volume recruiting, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Previous experience in full life-cycle recruiting for technically complex engineering positions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
  • High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Highly computer literate with experience in email, MS Office, and HR software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices related to recruitment.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Experience in an HR metrics-driven organization.
