About the position

We are seeking an experienced Technical and Proposal Writer to join our team on a part-time basis, with the potential to transition to full-time within 6-12 months. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in government procurement writing, including grants, RFPs, RFIs, and RFAs. This hybrid role requires one in-office meeting per week to collaborate with team members, provide updates, and review progress.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit clear, compelling, and compliant responses to government solicitations (grants, RFPs, RFIs, RFAs).
• Research, analyze, and interpret solicitation requirements and guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to collect and incorporate technical inputs and supporting documentation.
• Ensure proposals meet all compliance and submission requirements.
• Manage and prioritize multiple solicitations simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.
• Maintain a proposal library of past submissions and templates.
• Review and analyze feedback from solicitation evaluations to improve future responses.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical and proposal writing, specifically for government procurement.
• Direct experience with federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as prime contractors for subcontracting opportunities.
• Proven track record of successful government proposal submissions and awards.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and independently.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple deadlines.
• Familiarity with solicitation platforms such as SAM.gov and Grants.gov.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and proposal development tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in Proposal Management (e.g., APMP).
• Experience with proposal writing for specific industries, such as IT, healthcare, or engineering.
