About the position
The Contract Utility Forester position at PRF Forestry Specialists involves conducting hazard tree assessments and related tasks throughout North and South Carolina. Responsibilities
- Identify and mark hazard trees along utility lines.
- Collect hazard tree data and maintain accurate records.
- Notify and communicate with private landowners regarding project activities.
- Conduct safety audits and quality assurance audits.
- Participate in on-the-job performance evaluations.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Associate degree in Forestry or Natural Resources is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in Forestry, Natural Resources, or Forest Utilities is a plus.
- Proficient in GIS mapping software and GPS units.
- Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Ability to work effectively with co-workers and manage paperwork.
