About the position

The Java Full Stack Developer role is a contract position focused on developing and implementing software systems primarily in the banking industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java and related technologies, with a strong emphasis on cloud services and microservices architecture. This position requires a self-driven individual who can work independently and is comfortable with various development tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, document, implement, and test software systems in Java and related technologies.
• Work with AWS services including EMR, Batch, ECS, RDS, Lambda, and Aurora.
• Develop microservices using Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Utilize tools such as Kafka, Splunk, and GitHub for development and monitoring.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of IT experience in software development and testing.
• Strong experience in Java, Spring, and J2EE application servers.
• Proficiency in AWS services and cloud technologies.
• Experience with banking industry applications.
• Ability to work on Red Hat Linux, UNIX, or AIX environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Python is preferred but not mandatory.
• Former Capital One candidates are preferred.
