The Contracted Faculty of Practice (Adjunct) in Graphic Design at Concordia University, St. Paul is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in various graphic design courses. Responsibilities

• Facilitate quality student learning through teaching assigned courses.
• Increase student course engagement by providing a positive and regular presence within the course.
• Provide substantive and timely feedback on course assessments within the Learning Management System.
• Respond to student inquiries typically within 24 hours during business days.
• Work collaboratively in a supportive academic environment with academic advising and career development.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Follow the university and academic unit's policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Completion of BFA in Graphic Design or Art History from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years professional experience in print or web design.
• Experience working in a Mac-based lab environment.
• Demonstrated ability to showcase a portfolio of work.
• Demonstrated motivation to serve students from all backgrounds and educational experiences.
• Ability to anticipate and respond to new trends in the discipline with new curriculum and teaching practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Completion of MFA or MDes in Graphic Design, Interactive Design, Visual Communication Design, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
