About the position

As the Contractor Acquisition Manager at ToolBelt, you will be instrumental in expanding the network of qualified contractors through effective recruitment strategies. This role involves managing a recruitment team, developing sourcing strategies, and ensuring compliance with licensing and insurance requirements. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth of ToolBelt's user base and enhance the platform's impact on the residential contracting industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute direct sourcing and recruitment strategies for contractor recruitment.
  • Manage and develop a team of recruiting professionals, including hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Lead prospecting calls and outreach to recruit new users and assess candidates' skills and qualifications.
  • Ensure all identified contractors meet licensing, insurance, and background check requirements.
  • Develop and manage recruitment targets and KPIs, preparing forecasts.
  • Measure and optimize recruitment team performance, analyzing data to address issues.
  • Utilize various sourcing channels to build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success team to understand contractor recruitment needs.
  • Provide regular updates on progress against targets and team performance to leadership.
  • Build reporting and maintain accurate records of candidate interactions in CRM (Hubspot).
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline the contractor recruitment process.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in recruitment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals to stay informed about market trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in recruitment or staffing, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Experience in recruiting for 1099 & W2 workforce staffing.
  • Strong understanding of construction trades and industry trends.
  • Proven ability to source and recruit passive candidates.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with CRMs and other recruitment tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Proficiency in the Google Office suite.

  • Experience in a high-growth startup environment.
  • Knowledge of HR databases and Candidate Management Systems (CMS).
  • Familiarity with AI-driven recruitment tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with phone and calling systems.
