About the position

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer at Seer Interactive, you will be responsible for transforming and enhancing the internal data infrastructure and reporting dashboards. This contractor role requires expertise in data modeling and report development to support the Leadership Team and account teams by optimizing data tables and dashboards. You will work closely with the BI Lead and Operations Team to ensure insightful data access for stakeholders, with an estimated workload of 10-15 hours per week and potential for future full-time conversion.

Responsibilities

• Transform and enhance internal data infrastructure and reporting dashboards.
• Develop data models for client project profitability using project management data from Wrike.
• Create new tables and models in dbt based on established data tables.
• Optimize existing data models and reporting capabilities in Power BI and Looker.
• Implement row-level security in Power BI to ensure secure data access.
• Collaborate with the BI Lead on the migration strategy from Power BI to Looker.
• Participate in weekly check-ins with the BI lead to discuss progress and blockers.

Requirements

• Advanced experience in Power BI or Looker for developing data models and visualizations.
• Expertise in data transformation and modeling with dbt and SQL.
• Proven track record of implementing role-based data access using Power BI or Looker.
• Ability to interpret complex data requirements and deliver actionable reporting solutions.
• Strong project management and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Google BigQuery for data migration.
• Familiarity with documenting data models for shared use.
