About the position

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Contractor to join our full-service moving company, Pro Moves. The ideal candidate will have their own box truck and crew of professional movers. This role involves various tasks related to moving, delivery, and warehouse operations, requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate various equipment. The Contractor will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of goods and materials.
• Perform moving tasks, including loading and unloading items from trucks or vans.
• Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to assist with warehouse operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and driving duties.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory movements.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Requirements

• Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including the use of pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
