About the position

The Contracts Administrator - Level 4 at Northrop Grumman is responsible for managing contracts related to proposal preparation, negotiation, administration, and closeout activities. This senior-level position requires a strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations and contract management, ensuring compliance with legal and customer requirements while fostering relationships with clients. The role is integral to the program management team, supporting program success and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary interface with customer for contractual issues.
  • Monitor contract and associated program to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood.
  • Participate in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities.
  • Develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes, and maintain historical information.
  • Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks, and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of professional experience or Master's degree with 6+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience in contracts, proposals, or business management.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements.
  • Knowledge of multiple contract types including Firm Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, or Cost-Plus Award Fee.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed.
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance or ability to obtain it.

Nice-to-haves

  • Current, active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance and/or SCI access.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA).
  • Contracts Administration or Contracts management experience for a defense contractor.
  • Certification from the National Contracts Management Association (NCMA).
