About the position

The Contracts Manager for AWS Real Estate will play a crucial role in supporting Amazon Web Services (AWS) by managing contracts related to real estate transactions. This position involves drafting, negotiating, and providing legal advice on various commercial contracts, particularly in the context of AWS's data center expansion. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and managing outside counsel, while also driving process improvements in real estate transactions.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate service agreements, work orders, easements, lease amendments, and other real estate documents.
• Provide day-to-day contracting advice to business team members.
• Support AWS's existing real estate portfolio and manage outside counsel.
• Drive process improvements and initiatives to track and simplify real estate transactions.
• Create and lead training sessions for team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of contracts management, paralegal, or comparable experience within a law firm, legal department, or property management or real estate development company.
• Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts.
• Real estate and/or construction contract experience.
• Project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
