The Contracts Manager I position at BAE Systems involves managing contracts within the Electronic Attack Solutions Product Line. Responsibilities

  • Manage personnel, their workloads, and their development plans for future growth.
  • Provide guidance on complex assignments requiring independent action and initiative.
  • Interact with team members to gather, interpret, analyze, and develop recommended strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and manage complex proposals and contracts.
  • Provide guidance on government and commercial contracting methods for military equipment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Program Management, Finance, Operations, Quality, and Export teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree(s).
  • US Citizen with the ability to successfully obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of FAR and DFAR and export regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of intellectual property and policies.
  • Proven ability to lead and close complex negotiations requiring Current Cost or Pricing Data and Truthful Cost or Pricing Data certification.
  • Experience with agreements to support business development, program management, and engineering development teams.
  • Experience dealing with the US Government and major industry defense & electronics companies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with complex RFPs and large proposal development.
  • Experience with various USG agencies, especially the US Air Force.
  • Active Secret clearance or higher.
