About the position

The Contracts Manager II / Senior Contracts Manager at ATI plays a crucial role in managing all elements of the contracting function, ensuring compliance with company, federal, and legal requirements. This position involves overseeing a team responsible for cradle-to-grave contractual administration, proposal development, negotiation, and contract management. The role requires exercising discretion and independent judgment on significant business matters, contributing to the company's goals and objectives while providing sound solutions to government challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team providing cradle-to-grave contractual administration for various contract types.
  • Serve as the primary interface with the Government Contracting Office, providing customer service and solutions.
  • Lead the preparation of prime cost proposals and facilitate pre-award and post-award activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of subcontractor pre-award timelines, negotiations, and closeout.
  • Work closely with customers, program teams, and subcontractors regarding funding and budgetary issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of six years of experience in Government contracting.
  • Experience in the Department of Health and Human Services or the Biomedical Industry for at least 6 years.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and other federal government regulations.
  • Effective management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex projects with competing priorities.
  • Ability to evaluate risks and discern legal implications of contractual terms.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Exceptional computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
