About the position

The Contracts Manager at GTI Energy will play a crucial role in assisting the legal team by drafting and reviewing various industry and government contracts, while also implementing and managing a contract management system. This position involves legal research, serving as a point of contact for contract-related inquiries, and supporting legal efforts under the supervision of attorneys. The role is essential for ensuring efficient contract management and compliance within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review standard documents and moderately complex contracts including NDAs, MSAs, Subcontracts, and Field Test Agreements.
• Oversee the contract lifecycle from initiation through execution and subsequent amendments.
• Assist in the implementation and administration of a contract management system.
• Serve as the main point of contact for contract-related inquiries, collaborating with finance and project teams.
• Provide contracting advice and recommendations in consultation with a supervisor or attorney.
• Perform legal research and provide administrative support to the legal team on various matters and special projects.
• Contribute to the overall objectives and goals of the organization.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in a role utilizing legal drafting, research, and contract management skills.
• In-house experience preferred, especially in corporate, nonprofit, research and development, or energy sectors.
• Government contracting experience preferred, or eagerness to learn about it.
• Contract management certificate and/or experience with contract management systems preferred.
• Experience with corporate governance is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in government contracting legislation awareness.
• Legal writing skills.
