About the position

The Contracts Manager at Veolia North America is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of service contracts, ensuring successful execution and compliance with contractual obligations. This role involves collaboration with the service team to maintain customer relationships, manage project delivery, and track performance metrics, all while focusing on profitability and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain customer relationships and satisfaction while focusing on contractual commitments and compliance.
  • Administer current contracts and support sales and service representatives in retaining and securing business.
  • Ensure proper execution of contracts in line with agreements, respecting time and financial constraints.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, implementing action plans to mitigate risks and improve performance.
  • Support the service team in manpower requirements and performance tracking tools.
  • Own regular internal and customer reporting through dashboards and meetings, involving necessary team members.
  • Lead the resolution of client complaints and issues throughout projects, facilitating communication among team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Environmental Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of water treatment experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in contract management, preferably 10 years or more.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in or adjacent to field-based service operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong customer relationship skills to build customer loyalty.
  • Excellent customer focus, clear thinker, and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge and proven ability in contract management of service agreements in an industrial environment.
  • Experience in industrial service contracts fulfillment, ideally in the petrochemical sector.
  • Ability to read, understand, and plan according to contract deliverables.
  • Contract risk analysis and risk mitigation experience.
  • Strong administrative, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with financial and costing disciplines.
  • High aptitude for written communications.
  • Negotiation experience with vendors and customers.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant conditions of contract, including subcontracting and purchasing.
  • Experience in managing operation teams.
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment.
  • Knowledge of water treatment technologies such as UF, RO, EDR, EDI, pumps, motors, FDA, filtration, and chemical feed systems.
