Responsibilities

  • Act as primary interface with customer for contractual issues.
  • Monitor program performance to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood.
  • Participate in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Work under general supervision to develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements.
  • Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes and maintain historical information.
  • Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assist management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales.
  • Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required. May be selected for work that requires ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Level Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.
  • 8+ years of contract administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS).
  • Strong understanding of contract/purchase order terms and conditions and detailed knowledge of the government contracting process including sole source and competitive procurements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the terms and conditions appropriate for different contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ, etc.) and their proper use.
  • Advanced knowledge of government intellectual property (IP)/ software and data rights clauses and IP marking guidelines.
  • Advanced knowledge of source selection/evaluation process including cost and price analysis.
  • Knowledge of requirements for and experienced in administration of government property.
  • Detailed knowledge of government contract administration duties including subcontract flow downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out and records retention.
  • Detailed knowledge and thorough understanding of proper drafting, negotiation and use of contracts, subcontracts, POs teaming and other forms of agreements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Contract/agreement briefing, negotiation and review experience.
  • Experience in monitoring contracts/subcontracts of increasing complexity and value.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • General computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be able to uphold and support the Thales Code of Ethics as well as maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures.
