About the position

The Contracts Manager at ATI plays a crucial role in managing the contracting function to support the company's goals and objectives. This position involves overseeing the proposal development, negotiation, and administration of various types of contracts, ensuring compliance with company, federal, and legal requirements. The role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for both in-office and remote work, and requires candidates to reside near Summerville, SC for flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Administers, negotiates, and monitors various types of contracts including CPFF, CPAF, T&M, IDIQ, FFP, and JFA.
  • Facilitates pre-award and post-award activities in support of Company programs.
  • Reviews cost proposals and performs cost analysis as necessary.
  • Leads in the preparation of cost proposals.
  • Works closely with customers, program team, and subcontractors regarding funding and budgetary issues.
  • Monitors contract budgets and supports budget formations.
  • Manages contracts close-outs.
  • Negotiates and issues contract modifications.
  • Plans and conducts post-award conferences and debriefings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a business-related field and three years applicable experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in government contracting, or equivalent, or twelve years of applicable experience.
  • Minimum of three years experience in federal government contracting, preferably with the Department of Defense.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and Supplements, as well as other federal government regulations and policies.
  • Effective management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple, complex projects with competing priorities.
  • Ability to evaluate risks and discern legal implications associated with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, and organize and prioritize tasks according to shifting demands.
  • Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills: oral and written.
  • Ability to travel at company discretion.
