About the position

The Contracts Paralegal will provide essential administrative and paralegal support to the North America Kontron group legal department. This role focuses on assisting with the preparation and management of contracts, corporate documents, and correspondence, while addressing various legal matters. The position is hybrid and reports directly to the North America Corporate Counsel.

Responsibilities

• Support the Corporate Counsel in various areas including contracts, company policies, and legal requirements primarily in the defense business and general US corporate law.
• Participate in the drafting and revision of customer and supplier contracts.
• Conduct research on legal issues related to FAR and DFAR regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather contract information, requirements, and specifications.
• Assist in providing legal advice and services to all internal departments.
• Prepare and maintain contract templates.
• Prepare and maintain various corporate documents as needed.
• Participate in the development of policies and guidelines.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial law and the defense industry is required.
• Education: Associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, or postbaccalaureate certificates are acceptable.
• Strong knowledge in legal drafting and writing is essential.
• Efficient with all Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to work in a team and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills for document review.
