About the position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Programmer to join our dynamic team at SoundVision Technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Residential and Commercial control system integration, specifically with systems such as Control4, Savant, Crestron, and Lutron. This role is essential for supporting our projects, ensuring seamless operations, and enhancing our technological capabilities through effective troubleshooting and technical support.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software applications tailored to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions with existing hardware systems.
• Perform software troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Utilize hand tools and equipment for installation and maintenance of low voltage systems.
• Read and interpret schematics to assist in the setup and configuration of computer hardware.
• Conduct field service operations, including cabling and electrical work as needed.
• Utilize voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to ensure proper functionality of systems.
• Document processes, code changes, and technical specifications for future reference.

Requirements

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with computer hardware setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems and cabling techniques.
• Ability to read schematics and implement solutions based on technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on software troubleshooting.
• Experience in field service roles is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of telecommunication systems is advantageous but not required.
