The Control Center Coordinator (Space Planning & Operations) at the University of Pennsylvania is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of faculty, students, staff, and visitors within the Perelman School of Medicine. This role involves coordinating electronic security measures, including access control, alarm systems, and CCTV. The coordinator acts as the primary liaison for vendors, University Police, and Facilities Services, providing electronic access to various stakeholders. This essential position requires a high level of integrity, customer service, and the ability to respond to emergencies effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the School's electronic security measures.
• Serve as the primary liaison and point of contact for vendors, University Police, and Facilities Services.
• Provide electronic access to faculty, students, staff, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
• Respond to multiple incidents and situations simultaneously.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while representing the Perelman School of Medicine.
• Work during emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

• Associate's degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination required.
• 5 to 7 years of experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse constituency.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• High level of personal integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, and confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize projects and exercise professional judgment.
• Computer aptitude required for using electronic security equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
