About the position

The Control Systems Technician (CST) plays a crucial role in supporting fulfillment center operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying material handling control systems equipment. This position requires hands-on experience with various electrical systems and the ability to lead and train a team of technicians in control systems concepts and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and modify software programs for material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
• Perform industrial electrical troubleshooting, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems.
• Interpret and modify mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Act as second level escalation support for technical issues.
• Monitor material handling equipment metrics and collaborate with operations for system performance issues.
• Coordinate new technology installations with Facility Operations leadership and equipment vendors.
• Communicate technical issues and project timelines with building leadership and maintenance teams.
• Train and develop Control Systems Technicians on controls systems concepts and procedures.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in control systems troubleshooting and maintenance (PLC, motor controls, robotics, etc.).
• 1+ year of experience leading or managing a team.
• Hands-on experience with industrial maintenance and equipment maintenance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Industrial industries.
• Experience with conveyors and complex systems maintenance.
• Education from a technical school, apprenticeship, or military training related to maintenance.
