The Controller at Green Dot Public Schools California plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization. This position is essential in supporting Green Dot's mission to prepare students for college, leadership, and life by overseeing a wide range of financial operations. The Controller is responsible for the accurate recording and analysis of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining the overall financial health of the organization. In this role, the Controller will lead a dedicated team, providing financial leadership and guidance to ensure that all financial activities align with the organization's goals and objectives. This includes implementing robust internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. The Controller will also engage in strategic financial management, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and other senior leaders to develop financial strategies that support the organization's mission. Collaboration with external auditors is another critical aspect of this role, as the Controller will facilitate audits and ensure that all financial practices meet regulatory requirements. This position is part of the Finance and Accounting team and is primarily based in Los Angeles, contributing to the central office operations of Green Dot California's 18 public charter schools in the greater Los Angeles area.
