About the position

The Controller/Accountant position at Superior Ink involves overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial operations of the company, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
  • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and financial statements.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other applicable accounting regulations.
  • Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate financial records and generate reports.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements and ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Proficiency in general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
  • Excellent financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex financial data
  • Experience with forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Proficient in using accounting software for data entry, analysis, and reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
