As a Controller in the construction industry, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the accounting operations of our organization, which is a leader in financing and developing affordable housing and multifamily construction projects throughout the Southwest US. This position requires a strong background in accounting and finance, particularly within the construction or real estate sectors. You will be responsible for managing the financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team. In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will be expected to lead a team of accounting professionals. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and conducting audits. You will also be involved in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, along with a minimum of five years of experience in accounting or finance roles, specifically in the construction or real estate industries. Supervisory experience is essential, as you will be responsible for mentoring and guiding other accounting staff. Familiarity with Sage300 software is also a key requirement for this position. Requirements
