About the position

The Controller/Finance Manager role is a hands-on finance position responsible for overseeing various financial operations within an engineering, project/construction management, design, or consulting environment. This remote position requires occasional in-office presence and focuses on ensuring the success of billing, accounts receivable, and collections while providing accurate financial information to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee billing, journal entries, general ledger, and month and year-end close processes.
• Work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Collaborate with project managers and executives to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Ensure the success of accounts receivable and collections processes.
• Manage and mentor finance team members.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is essential.
• Management experience is required.
• MBA or CPA certification is a plus.
