About the position

Noron, Inc. is seeking a Controller/Office Manager to oversee financial operations and manage office tasks in Toledo, OH. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with payroll and tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting and be able to contribute to the financial health of the company while supporting a small team in an HVAC contracting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing monthly in-house financial statements (Balance Sheet and Income Statement) and Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports
  • Compiling and submitting hours and payroll information to our payroll service company
  • Managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Invoicing and preparing union fringe benefit reports
  • Paying miscellaneous taxes, other than payroll, such as property taxes and quarterly estimates prepared by our CPA
  • Preparing and submitting certified payroll reports for prevailing wage projects
  • Calculating and paying Worker's Compensation premium
  • Performing other duties necessary in a small business office

Requirements

  • CPA certification
  • 1 year of experience in accounting
  • 1 year of experience with accounting software
