About the position

Sonic Connectors, located in Odessa, TX, is seeking a Controller to oversee the financial operations of the organization. This role is pivotal in managing financial modeling, reporting, and operating analysis, as well as addressing all capital markets needs. The Controller will ensure that all accounting controls, financial reporting, technical accounting, and tax responsibilities are effectively managed for the company. This position requires a proactive approach to enhance current tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the operating leadership, enabling them to make actionable recommendations regarding both strategy and operations. The Controller will evaluate and direct all major corporate financial responsibilities, including the annual budget process, capital allocation, strategic initiatives, operating reports, and real-time contract negotiations. This will involve utilizing spreadsheets and other decision-support tools to facilitate informed decision-making. Additionally, the role includes developing and implementing accounting processes and controls that focus on customer and order-level operational visibility and accountability. This encompasses job-level margin tracking and forecasting, direct cost attribution and absorption, as well as labor and manufacturing variance implementation and tracking. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance and accounting, with the ability to drive financial performance and operational efficiency within the organization.

Requirements
