Controller / Project Manager

About the position

The Senior Specialist in Financial Project Management and Controlling will play a critical role in implementing project management plans and processes while also focusing on financial analysis and controlling responsibilities. This position is essential for ensuring the successful delivery of projects, conducting financial risk analysis, and providing financial advice to the management team, all while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Implement project management plans and processes for successful project execution.
• Deliver financial risk and opportunity analysis, investment reviews, and control assessments.
• Analyze complex data, prepare forecasts, reports, and recommendations for management decision making.
• Provide accurate and timely financial analysis, performance-related reporting, and relevant financial/non-financial information.
• Implement Controlling and Budgeting policies, procedures, and methods.
• Act as a financial advisor, providing guidance on regulatory, tax, and financial planning decisions.
• Support business owners in the preparation and analysis of business cases.
• Develop project plans to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Monitor project milestones, report progress, and address operational issues to minimize delays.
• Implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
• Act as a liaison between project stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and support to team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
• More than 6 years of experience in Controlling, financial analysis, project management, or a related role.
• Proficiency in DHL Financial Policies, Finance Reporting Systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong business acumen and collaboration skills.
• Expertise in budgets, financial reporting, and financial planning.
• Strategic planning, business analysis, and quality control.
• Project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Prince2) and change management.
• Excellent presentation, storytelling, and facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of DHL business operations, processes, and strategy.
