About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join the finance team of a dynamic SaaS company that is committed to rapid growth and operational excellence. This pivotal role will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management. The Controller will ensure financial integrity and support the company's growth strategy through effective financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and oversight of operational accounting. The position requires a strong focus on strategic planning, business process optimization, and internal controls, making it essential for the success of the organization. In this role, the Controller will prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP, develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy, and lead the annual budgeting process along with periodic forecasting. The Controller will also monitor cash flow projections, oversee cash management, and optimize cash flow through efficient billing and collections processes. Conducting thorough financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identifying trends, opportunities, and risks in financial performance will be key responsibilities. Additionally, the Controller will assist in due diligence processes for potential acquisitions, evaluate financial implications and risks of M&A transactions, and coordinate integration efforts post-acquisition to achieve financial and operational synergies. The role also involves coordinating audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets. As a leader, the Controller will manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development. Collaboration with senior management and department heads to provide financial insights and recommendations will be crucial, as well as supporting the CFO in special projects and initiatives aligned with the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in a SaaS or technology-driven company.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with private equity ownership and familiarity with investor reporting requirements.
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
