About the position

The Controller at Reagan Companies will lead a team of financial professionals responsible for the organization's accounting functions. This role involves close collaboration with the leadership team to support departmental strategies and achieve financial targets. Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment and addressing escalated issues.
• Prepare and present precise financial reports to the executive team and board, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Generate and manage commission reports for the sales team, handling inquiries and clarifying discrepancies.
• Extract and distribute key financial data from the Agency Management System accurately.
• Continuously seek ways to streamline reporting processes, propose workflow solutions, and implement audit measures for data integrity.
• Oversee compliance with financial and regulatory requirements, coordinating with external auditors and regulators as needed.
• Identify financial risks, implement mitigation strategies, and drive financial projects aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of accounting experience required.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with Applied Epic is a plus.
