About the position
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective financial management. This role requires a strong background in accounting and finance, with proficiency in financial software and technical accounting practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements and reports to senior management.
- Oversee account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and maintain adherence to accounting standards.
- Utilize Sage and other accounting software to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors as necessary.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management and technical accounting roles.
- Proficiency in Sage and other relevant financial software applications.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Excellent understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and compliance standards.
- Ability to forecast accurately based on historical data and market trends.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
