About the position

The Controller at Russell Cellular plays a crucial role in supporting the CFO with various financial tasks and projects. This position involves managing financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and ensuring accurate financial statements are prepared for executives and partners. The Controller will also serve as a key resource for reporting and analytics, facilitating communication between departments and participating in strategic meetings.

Responsibilities

• Complete bank reconciliations
• Complete daily forecast reporting
• Analyze and manage cash flow
• Analyze and audit payroll reporting
• Analyze historical data to make future financial projections
• Prepare and present reporting to upper management
• Process, prepare, and report on financial statements for Executives, Vendors, and Banking Partners
• Merge data between Point of Sale and Financial Software
• Participate and assist in expense meetings with departmental leaders
• Clearly communicate company objectives between departments while working with them
• Become a 'go to' resource for reporting and analytics
• Participate in calls or meetings in place of CFO when needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years education in accounting, finance, or related field
• Bachelor's in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office (heavy focus on Excel)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and present to members of the leadership team
• Ability to work independently and multi-task
• Ability to think like an owner and offer novel solutions to ever-evolving problems
