About the position
Luke & Associates Inc. is seeking a skilled Controller to oversee accounting activities and ensure accurate financial reporting. This remote/hybrid role involves collaboration with the executive team and board to forecast, budget, and make data-driven decisions, contributing to the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Establish processes for accurate forecasting and budgeting of the P&L, balance sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows.
- Coordinate and direct year-end audits.
- Manage all accounting operations for the business.
- Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls for asset projection.
- Conduct month-end and quarter-end analytics, including P&L and balance sheet flux analysis.
- Collaborate with local finance/accounting teams to ensure compliance with global processes and policies.
- Perform ad-hoc technical accounting research on US GAAP-related issues.
- Own the close calendar.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA required.
- 2-4 years of experience managing or supervising a finance team.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Knowledge of global ERP and consolidation software systems (e.g., Unanet, Deltek, Management Reporting).
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with government contracts is a plus.
