We are seeking a Controller who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the profitability of our operations while maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting. This position requires a strong focus on compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as adherence to our Standard Operating Procedures. The Controller will collaborate closely with our Nevada-based accounting team to safeguard the interests of our owners and investors, as well as our assets. The Controller will oversee various departments including Cage, Accounting, Warehouse, and the Drop/Count Team. This role involves budget planning and financial strategizing specifically for our gaming departments across Colorado Properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and developing staff, ensuring effective communication regarding cash flow issues, and preparing monthly financial statements that include cash flow statements and management of receivables. In addition, the Controller will monitor gaming revenues and expenses, assist in creating annual budgets, and ensure compliance with all regulatory licenses and permits. The role also includes reviewing final financial statements for accuracy, analyzing financial data to assist management in achieving financial objectives, and ensuring compliance with Standard Accounting policies and internal controls. The Controller will also be responsible for the successful completion of all internal and external financial audits, coordinating with CPA firms, and preparing all necessary financial reports according to Maverick's requirements.
