About the position

As a Controller for our progressive hospitality group, you will play a pivotal role in leading our accounting team within the Colorado division. We are seeking an experienced individual who is not only highly analytical but also possesses strong organizational and communication skills. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the financial operations of our casino business, ensuring that all accounting practices align with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. You will be instrumental in managing cash flow, preparing monthly financial statements, and creating annual budgets while conducting monthly variance analysis. In this role, you will also be responsible for hiring, training, and supervising staff, ensuring that the accounting team operates efficiently and effectively. You will manage receivables and ensure compliance with all regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts, and legal agreements. Additionally, you will oversee the execution of all operational taxes and maintain oversight of the Colorado Gaming Control Board's regulations and statutes. Your strategic input will be crucial for budget planning and financial strategizing for our gaming departments across Colorado properties. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. You will oversee multiple teams, including Cage, Accounting, Warehouse, and Drop/Count Team, ensuring that all financial operations run smoothly and in compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train & supervise staff
  • Manage cash flow

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 5+ years of experience in a management role
  • Experience in Casino industry
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
