The Controller at Volaris Group will play a pivotal role in enhancing the financial reporting and internal finance systems across the group. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, the Controller will be integral to group reporting and will collaborate closely with various business units to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial deliverables, particularly during quarter and year-end close processes. This position is not only about maintaining the status quo but also about identifying areas for improvement in the reporting practices of newly acquired businesses and leading the implementation of consistent reporting standards that align with corporate requirements. In addition to these responsibilities, the Controller will act as a strategic commercial finance advisor for the group businesses. This involves utilizing financial analysis, modeling, and insights to support decision-making processes that drive profitable growth. The role also includes developing and overseeing training programs aimed at enhancing financial acumen across the organization, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills to contribute effectively. The Controller will conduct regular reviews of account reconciliations and the COSO framework to support risk management objectives, while also supporting multiple financial integration projects related to new acquisitions. Analyzing management reports will be a key function, focusing on key operating ratios to identify issues, opportunities, and emerging trends that can benefit business partners. Furthermore, the Controller will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing accounting information systems to improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting, ensuring that the organization remains agile and responsive to its financial needs.
