About the position

The Controller position at Imperial Metal Products Company is a key management role focused on overseeing financial transactions and reporting within the organization. The role involves managing accounts payable, vendor management, and bank reconciliations, as well as preparing monthly financial statements and leading the financial close process. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in finance and be ready to take on expanded responsibilities in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present month-end financial statements to management.
• Prepare annual financials and develop the budget.
• Coordinate the annual review of SSE financial statements with CPA firm.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements and record inventory transactions as needed.
• Maintain daily cash transactions in the system.
• Perform intercompany account reconciliations and daily/month-end journal entries.
• Transmit ACH files to relevant financial entities.
• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (W2s, 1099s, 941, 940, MESC).
• Consolidate financials across The Armada Group.
• Prepare and submit bank compliance reports and covenant calculations.
• Oversee payroll and time entry for SSE.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum 3-5 years in a Controller role.
• Experience developing cost and financial accounting systems, financial analysis, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Proven experience in budget preparation and creating internal financial and accounting policies.
