About the position

Looking for a Rewarding Career in the Field of Hospice? AuthoraCare Collective is currently seeking a Controller for our Burlington or Greensboro campus. This is a Full-time Hybrid position (3 days in the office and 2 days remote) Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. The Controller is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. The Controller shall, in consultation with the CEO, CFO and Finance Committee, develop and implement budgeting, accounting and bookkeeping systems, which satisfy both the internal and external needs of the organization. Responsible for supervision of the Finance department that includes Accounting Staff, Financial Analytics, Accounts Payable and Payroll. The Controller will be responsible for data analysis, financial reporting, and foundation investment management. Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations of the organization.
  • Develop and implement budgeting, accounting, and bookkeeping systems.
  • Supervise the Finance department including Accounting Staff, Financial Analytics, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
  • Conduct data analysis and financial reporting.
  • Manage foundation investment activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Health Administration, or related field.
  • CPA required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in financial analysis and report writing.
  • Experience in hospital or health care setting, public accounting, or demonstrated experience in accounting and reporting.
  • Supervisory experience in budgeting and finance.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and non-profit accounting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to analyze data effectively.
