About the position
The Controller at CDF Corporation plays a crucial role in managing the company's accounting operations, ensuring effective financial planning, cash flow management, and compliance with regulatory standards. This position involves overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and internal auditing while collaborating with management to achieve organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Establish, coordinate, and administer an adequate plan for the control of accounting operations.
- Compare performance with operating plans and report results to managers and owners.
- Formulate accounting policy and coordinate systems and procedures.
- Prepare operating data and special reports as required.
- Consult with management on policies and actions affecting operations.
- Establish and maintain product costs, budgets, and cash management.
- Prepare reports for banks and governmental agencies as required.
- Assure protection of assets through internal auditing and proper insurance coverage.
- Maintain positive cash flow and manage the corporation's funds.
- Ensure computer applications and hardware are adequate for required tasks.
- Perform monthly and yearly closings and work with external programmers.
- Follow quality and food safety policies to meet customer and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience as Controller or in a similar position.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Strong experience in accounting.
- Experience leading teams.
