About the position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting in the Real Estate industry. This role is pivotal in managing the financial health of the organization and will involve collaboration with various departments to drive financial strategy and performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
• Manage cash flow and cash management processes to optimize liquidity.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses for management review.
• Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely completion and accuracy of financial results.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Implement and maintain accounting software solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proven experience in corporate accounting with a focus on accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Yardi.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate account analysis.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills for collaboration across departments.
