About the position

The Controller will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of multiple profitable entities owned by a business owner in Las Vegas. This position is designed for a professional who thrives in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment, focusing on cash management, banking activities, and investment oversight. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting while supporting business decisions through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting and financial operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to financial standards.
  • Analyze and project cash flow to optimize liquidity and align short-term and long-term strategies with organizational goals.
  • Manage relationships with banking partners, oversee transactions, and ensure efficient and accurate financial operations.
  • Administer the organization's investment portfolio, monitor performance, and manage cash allocation for maximum efficiency.
  • Streamline QuickBooks processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management, to maintain accurate and timely records.
  • Deliver monthly and annual financial reports with actionable insights, supporting senior management in data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, establish robust internal controls, and coordinate with external CPA firms for tax preparation and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
  • 2+ years of management experience, leading an Accounting team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for teamwork and stakeholder management
  • Real estate industry experience is highly desirable, though not required

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with QuickBooks Pro
  • Knowledge of financial statements and due diligence processes
