About the position

The Controller at GuideOn Group is responsible for overseeing the general accounting functions across multiple entities, including F2F Transport LLC and Max Trans Logistics of Chattanooga LLC. This role involves managing the monthly closing process, payroll support, and accounts payable oversight, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly closing of one or more entities
• Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations and monthly accruals
• Perform and support bi-weekly payroll for two companies
• Complete or review various payroll and other tax return filings
• Oversight of accounts payable department
• Provide back-up support to other accounting managers as needed
• Various other projects and responsibilities as developed or assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or equivalent
• Four or more years experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller
• Strong general ledger experience including intercompany transactions and month end closing responsibilities
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent ability to prioritize and handle multiple concurrent demands
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Self-directed and able to meet deadlines with professional, quality results
