About the position
The Controller at BOXX Technologies will oversee all financial operations and accounting activities, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and managing the finance team. This hybrid role requires a strong background in accounting and finance, with responsibilities including financial strategy, budgeting, and compliance with banking agreements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations and accounting activities related to financial reporting, management reporting, and auditing.
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Set up accounts, financial strategy, forecasting, and budgeting, including timely budget analysis and review with management.
- Provide strategic financial leadership for evaluating potential alliances, acquisitions, and investments.
- Manage cash forecasting and implement strategies for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with banking and loan agreement requirements.
- Prepare reports for banks, vendors, and the Board of Directors as requested.
- Conduct departmental meetings, set priorities, and complete performance appraisals for accounting staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting, preferably with an MBA.
- 10+ years of public and private accounting experience.
- 7+ years of supervisory experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance, Sarbanes-Oxley, and record retention requirements.
- Ability to learn and effectively use different software programs and ERP systems, preferably Intuitive and Microsoft Office.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with inventory management and cycle counting.
- Strong mathematical skills for generating accurate financial reports.
- Ability to create financial dashboards.
