About the position

Armtec Defense Technologies (Armtec) is an operating unit of the Transdigm Group (NYSE: TDG), an industry leader in aerospace and defense products and services. Armtec is comprised of three business units producing subcomponents for ordnance in Coachella, CA; decoy countermeasure Flares in Camden AR; and radar countermeasure chaff in Lillington NC. This position is staffed in Camden, AR., at Armtec's world-class facility for decoy countermeasure Flares.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the monthly closing, financial reporting and analysis in a three-day reporting schedule
  • Oversees financial reporting for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages
  • Leads the forecasting and budget processes
  • Participates in cost productivity reviews and savings validations
  • Manages internal and external audits, including DCAA and DCMA
  • Monitors operational activities for compliance with internal control procedures and SOX requirements
  • Preparation and analysis of support for forward pricing rates: overhead burden rates, G&A rates and Cost of Money rates
  • Preparation and analysis of Bids and Proposals, in coordination with Sales & Marketing

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive Accounting and Finance experience
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing company required
  • Large or mid-sized corporate accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting required
  • Demonstrated ability to thoroughly understand a business's strategy and determine linkages to financial initiatives and drivers
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization and influence processes across multiple functions and stakeholders
  • Highly computer proficient, including advanced capabilities with Excel
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Infor LN) a plus
  • Experience with a manufacturing defense contractor with FAR and CAS knowledge strongly preferred
