About the position

Screen Tight is a growing, family-owned company with three decades of proven business success, producing a large variety of home screening systems, specialty doors, and custom plastic extruded products for distribution throughout North America. In addition, Green Eagle, a new and fast-growing company founded by Screen Tight's management team, specializes in unique, carbon fiber reinforced plastic profiles and products using innovative processes that are patented globally. These products have unlimited potential to replace commonly used, lower performance plastic extrusions for a wide array of consumer and industrial products. We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the fiscal activities of both Screen Tight and Green Eagle. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial health of our companies and will involve directing and coordinating all accounting functions, preparing budgets and financial plans, and implementing financial performance metrics. The Controller will maintain close customer interactions to align with their accounts payable and IT processes, develop and maintain internal controls, and prepare management reports including financial forecasts and cash flow projections. Additionally, the Controller will oversee capital assets, hire and train accounting personnel, and maintain corporate policies and procedures. Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate all accounting functions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Prepare budgets and financial plans
  • Implement and maintain financial performance metrics
  • Maintain close customer interactions to efficiently align with their A/P and IT processes
  • Develop and maintain internal controls including compliance requirements and internal audits
  • Prepare management reports including financial forecasts
  • Prepare cash flow projections
  • Oversee capital assets and process capital requests
  • Hire, train and supervise accounting personnel
  • Maintain corporate policies and procedures
  • Streamline accounting functions as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; master's degree or MBA preferred; CPA is a plus
  • Three to five years of financial management experience within a similar business; manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong financial and accounting background, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, internal controls, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking, budgets, and cost controls
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong attention to detail combined with a full grasp of 'big picture' issues
  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Strong computer literacy and a working knowledge of financial software
